At least 4 weeks before you get on a plane at Hartsfield-Jackson, you should talk to one of the specialists at IDA about getting vaccinated. Different diseases are more common in certain places outside the United States and many can be prevented by simple vaccinations. So, if you are planning an international trip call one of the physicians at IDA today to learn which vaccinations you should get and when to get them.Please remember that while some vaccinations are recommended there are few that are legally required by both the US and countries you are visiting. Special precautions need to be taken if you are:
- Pregnant
- Breastfeeding
- Traveling with small children
- HIV Positive
- Diabetic
- Have a condition that affects your ability to fight infection
- Visiting Africa
- Visiting South America
- Visiting Saudi Arabia
